Description
John Pearse C6th Nickel Strings – Hawaiian Steel 8-String Set were developed in consultation with renowned Hawaiian steel guitarist Alan Akaka. This version of the classic C6 tuning adds a low octave C, expanding the range of the instrument while maintaining the familiar chord shapes that make C6 one of the most versatile lap steel tunings.
The set features plain steel trebles and pure nickel wound bass strings for a smooth feel and warm traditional tone ideal for Hawaiian steel guitar.
C6 Tuning
E–C–A–G–E–C–A–Low C (high → low)
Some players tune the seventh string to B♭ instead of A to add a dominant 7th flavor to the tuning.
