Description

"Cherokee" (1938) is a jazz standard written by Ray Noble and recorded over the years by many jazz musicians and singers, including Charlie Parker, Charlie Barnet and His Orchestra, The Count Basie Orchestra, Sarah Vaughan, and Keely Smith. Buddy Emmons introduced steel guitarists to this tune on his legendary Steel Guitar Jazz LP.

This up-tempo jazz standard is taught as a chord melody for C6th pedal steel.

Audio CD course by Jim Loessberg with printed C6th tablature.
